1st Corp Warriors & Archers, FireForge Knights

More units for Saga Age of Chivalry.  I’ve like the look of the 1st Corp (King Maker) figures for a long time and was able to pick them up from Scale Creep in the US.  The knights are the best kind of figures – free!  Sort of, they’ve been sitting on my shelf for years waiting for a project.  They are more 12500 than 1350, but I can add them into my Crusader army when I’m done with Saga.

The knights are done in a simple red and white (Khaki Highlight with a highlight of Dark Ivory).

The warriors and archers are more less the same plan as my Saxon/Vikings with the addition of a few new paints from Pro Acryl:  Payne’s Grey, Dark Ivory, Red Grey and Caramel Brown.

1st Corp Dismounted Knights

I have Saga in my future.  This unit of 1st Corp dismounted knights will be used as mercenary Foreign Men at Arms in an Age of Chivalry force.  More units to follow soon.

All of the armour plates are undercoated with Pro Acryl Pain’s Grey (which is actually a dark blue).  This approach is producing a very shiny armour that stands distinct from the mail.

• Dark Brown spray primer
• Plates – Payne’s Grey, Oily Steel, Chainmail highlight
• Mail – Oily Steel, Armor Wash
• Accents – Ancient Bronze, Dark Sepia wash
• Leather – Rudy Brown/Flat Earth
• Wood Handles – Desert Stone, then Flat Earth
